Florida State University offers an online curriculum in Domestic Violence Dynamics for Professionals.

Domestic Violence Dynamics for Professionals was developed by the Institute for Trauma & Resilience Studies at FSU's College of Social Work.

Domestic violence continues to be a public health issue affecting individuals across demographics. In this 2-hour course, professionals will gain a working knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and learn best practices for trauma-informed, meaningful client interaction. It builds on participant's knowledge and skills to understand the needs of domestic violence victims and facilitate compassionate client assistance.

Learners will gain knowledge and skills to better assist domestic violence victims. Gain insights into the complexities of domestic violence dynamics and understand how victims respond to and cope with it. Understand the elements of a safety plan, recognize and avoid victim blaming, and identify local and national resources that benefit victims.

This online, self-paced curriculum includes about two hours of interactive course content featuring evidence-based content, case scenarios, multimedia materials, knowledge checks, and a final assessment.
