Florida State University offers Level Two of our Professional Certification in Trauma and Resilience.

This advanced curriculum was developed by the Clearinghouse on Trauma & Resilience within the Institute for Trauma & Resilience Studies in the College of Social Work. The curriculum enables professionals to further develop the knowledge and skills they need to understand the impact of individual and community trauma, along with a practical guide to building resilience. In Level Two, participants who have already completed Level One will learn additional crucial information to improve service delivery to clients, students, human services recipients, patients, and other members of the public.

This self-paced curriculum includes eight chapters and 15 hours of course content with research-based readings, case scenarios, multi-media materials, assignments, and quizzes.

Big Bend AHEC CEU Information:

Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling

  • Continuing Education Unit (CEU) programs are planned in accordance with meeting the criteria set forth and approved for licensure renewal as outlined in the Florida Statutes and by Chapter 491 Licensure Board. This workshop is approved for and offers 15 contact hours for Social Work.

Florida Board of Nursing

  • Continuing Education Unit (CEU) programs are planned in accordance with meeting the criteria set forth and approved for licensure renewal as outlined in the Florida Statutes and by Chapter 464 Licensure Board. This workshop is approved for and offers 15 contact hours for Nursing.

Florida Board of Respiratory Care

  • Continuing Education Unit (CEU) programs are planned in accordance with meeting the criteria set forth and approved for licensure renewal as outlined in the Florida Statutes and by Chapter 468 Licensure Board. This workshop is approved for and offers 15 contact hours for Respiratory Therapy.

Florida Board of Dentistry

  • Continuing Education Unit (CEU) programs are planned in accordance with meeting the criteria set forth and approved for licensure renewal as outlined in the Florida Statutes and by Chapter 466 Licensure Board. This workshop is approved for and offers 15 contact hours for Dentistry.

Participants must report their certificate to their licensure board to receive credit. We do not report to the licensure boards.

Participants outside of Florida must self-report to their own licensing board to determine the credit awarded.

Florida Lawyers

Continuing Legal Education credit has been approved as follows: 

  • CLE Credits
    • General: 15.5
  • Certification Credits
    • Criminal Appellate Law: 15.5
    • Criminal Trial Law: 15.5
    • Juvenile Law: 15.5
    • Marital and Family Law: 15.5

Florida Bar members can report their CLE credit online through the Member Portal. The course number required to report credits is provided upon successfully completing the training.

Judges

The Office of the State Courts Administrator of the Florida Supreme Court has approved a total of twenty (20) Continuing Judicial Education (CJE) units, of which five (5) are Ethics, to judges and magistrates in Florida.
